This was the best breakfast we’ve had in a long time! We were driving through town, looked up breakfast places, and decided to eat here. It felt like taking a step back in time, good home cooking, country/vintage atmosphere, friendly and attentive service, and excellent prices! We will be making the drive back soon! Great Job Poor Boy Cafe!

Do you love chicken fried steak? I do, and I get it everywhere that I hear it's good. This place advertised it. I got it with eggs, hashbrowns and a pancake. Talk about heaven. Everything was cooked to perfection, in an old barn building. What an experience. I'll definitely recommend this place to anyone that likes chicken fried steak, though the pancakes are ridiculously good as well. If you are driving through, it's a must have.

What a great breakfast stop on a cold Sunday morning. Friendly country kitchen atmosphere. More than generous portion of chicken fried steak and eggs. Eggs cooked perfectly. We will be back!

We had the chicken fried steak daily special. It was delicious, wallet friendly and big size portions, and also came with peach cobbler (the best cobbler I've had in a very long time. We will definitely be returning.

Specials daily and you can't beat them. Good comfort food, priced right, and friendly service. I had the meatloaf special. Huge slice, that mount everest pile of homemade mashed potatoes, carrots, green beans, homemade roll and dessert. 7.99 He enjoyed the chicken fry - 2 hearty steaks and sides.

Off the beaten path, but worth the drive. The food was AMAZING!!! I had the hamburger steak dinner. It was so flavorful and well seasoned. The homemade fries and creamy brown gravy made the meal. My sister had a hamburger and had huge compliments for it as well. The service was phenomenal. We took fried pecan pies home to eat at a later time. If you get a chance, stop by and tell them I sent you!!

Love this place. Been a customer long before they moved to this location. That’s chicken fried steak though. Mmm mmm. Sometimes they get swamped and have to weight a little longer. But rather eat at a place that stays packed then a place that stays empty. Keep it up guys. No matter what you’ll always have at least one customer.

This place is phenomenal. Best food I have had in a while and even better service.
